Medium sugar ends mixed in lacklustre trade

Mumbai, Mar 18 (PTI) Medium sugar variety ended mixed at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today on alternate bouts of buying and selling amidst adequate supply position.

Meanwhile, small sugar variety held steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 2,846/2,916 per quintal from Thursday''s closing level of Rs 2,841/2,921.

While, small sugar quality (S-30) ended stable at Rs 2,801/2,841.

The following are today''s closing rates per quintal, with the previous rates in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,801/2,841 (Rs 2,801/ 2,841) and medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,846/2,916 (Rs 2,841/2,921).
